40% of the adult population gets the flu shot (CDC.gov)
With that information, lets run the numbers.. Out of 325,700,000 people in the US, 200,000 will contract the flu. 0.0614062020264% of the population (Less than one percent.), and 50,000 WILL die from the flu. 325.700,000/50,000= 0.006514 Or 0.6514 %.. A LITTLE OVER A HALF PERCENT OF THE POPULATION!!
In comparison, the National Safety Council says that there were 40,000 traffic fatalities in 2017. Yet nobody is living in fear of driving to the grocery store.Most people wouldn't wear seat belts if they weren't required by law and it wasn't enforced by road pirates.
More than 72,000 people died in 2017 from drug overdoses according to Drugabuse.gov. You have a higher chance of dying from a drug overdose than you do the flu, yet you are happy to take the highly addictive opioids that your doctor prescribes.
More than 76,000 people die from DIABETES, yet we, as a country, are still very fat. Nobody worries about the fact that reducing/eliminating sugar would DRAMATICALLY decrease your risk of diabetes.
More than 600,000 people die from HEART DISEASE.. Much of that could be prevented with good nutrition, ceasing smoking and regular exercise.. Yet nobody does anything to prevent that. BUT Y'ALL WORRIED ABOUT THE FLU?!?!
So to recap, you are more likely to die from Diabetes, Drug Overdose or Heart disease but you take a cheap or no-cost (if you have insurance) shot that HAS A 13-PAGE WARNING INSERT.. Don't forget they knew it could increase the rates of SIDS so they split up the batches so no one state would get the all the same batches. They knew it . These are the people that you believe will keep you safe. Think about that.
